About the Role

The Structured Finance & Derivatives team advises on complex and innovative structured products, derivatives, and structured finance transactions across various asset classes. This role involves working on sophisticated domestic and cross-border matters, advising leading financial institutions and asset managers on transaction structuring, execution, and regulatory considerations. The position offers exposure to complex transactions and the opportunity to manage client relationships and mentor junior lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a broad range of sophisticated domestic and cross-border structured products matters.
  • Advise leading financial institutions, asset managers, and other market participants on transaction structuring, execution, and related regulatory considerations.
  • Take ownership of significant transaction workstreams.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships.
  • Play a key role in the successful delivery of complex matters.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets, and Financial Regulation.
  • Provide commercially focused advice and support clients on interesting transactions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Support the continued growth and success of the practice.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
  • 3+ years' post-qualification experience with strong exposure to structured products work gained within a leading practice.
  • Experience working with investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions or other sophisticated financial market participants.
  • Strong technical and transaction management skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of matters and client relationships.
  • Collaborative and commercially-minded.
  • Interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
