About the Role
McGard is seeking a highly talented and motivated CNC Machinist to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success. This role involves developing innovative products that make a difference in the world.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as lathe or mill, to machine parts to specification.
- Analyze each job for proper selection of fixturing, cutting parameters, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, programming requirements, and quality control of finished part.
- Operation of in-house CAD/CAM system to program various CNC machines.
- Perform all machine maintenance.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and gage blocks.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and orally.
- Three (3) years to five (5) years related experience and/or training.
- Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and general machining principles, including the use of gages and measurement devices typical of this skill level and experience.
