About the Role

This position is responsible for general and specialized maintenance and repairs to site property, including compliance inspections and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities include maintenance of HVAC systems, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting duties. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and demonstrating integrity, customer service, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Perform washroom repairs, including daily preventative maintenance of fixtures.
• Change hand soap and hand sanitizer.
• Unclog toilets and sinks using various tools and equipment.
• Change and replace burnt-out light bulbs.
• Perform wall repairs and painting.
• Conduct minor carpentry work.
• Repair carpets and floors.
• Maintain vacuum cleaners.
• Perform preventative maintenance on stand-alone HVAC units.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with safety procedures, including the use of required safety equipment.
• Identify unsafe practices or conditions.
• Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Adhere to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental, and HR policies.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

• Experience in a related field of 1 or more years with formal training in one or more of the related trade professions is an asset.
• Obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
