About the Role
The Preferred Banker is responsible for providing exceptional service to Peapack Private clients, managing the overall client experience, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and presenting referrals to partnering business lines.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to clients and bank partners, accepting and processing client requests and ensuring resolution of client needs.
- Manage client relationships to coordinate service and product delivery from all bank divisions.
- Develop, expand, and manage consumer and business account relationships, identifying potential opportunities to expand relationships.
- Oversee client onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Coordinate information and communication delivery with clients, prospects, referral sources, and internal partners.
- Process various transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, IRAs, CDs, and account maintenance.
- Assist with daily branch operations, including reporting, audits, cash vault management, and ordering currency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a client service/client-facing role.
- Knowledge of banking products, services, and branch operations/security.
- Ability to effectively interact with clients and internal partners.
- Proficiency in gathering financial and KYC information from clients.
- Knowledge of KYC/BSA/Anti-money laundering regulations.
- Ability to think independently, exercise discretion, and make decisions.
- General understanding of Client Relationship Management (CRM) functionality.
