About the Role

Alma Bank is seeking an experienced Branch Operation Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its Brooklyn region branches, ensuring efficient functioning and adherence to bank policies.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties and work schedules to workers for efficient branch functioning.
• Train employees in customer service and banking procedures.
• Assist Branch Manager in achieving branch goals.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch.
• Manage the flow of cash and financial instruments per company policy.
• Assess the risk of financial transactions executed by personnel.
• Monitor activities to implement institution's policies, procedures, and practices.
• Communicate with customers to resolve account problems.
• Approve and authorize checks and assist tellers with operational issues.
• Assist Universal Bankers with opening new accounts during peak periods and ensure quality customer service.
• Manage and report teller shortages or overages to the Branch Manager.
• Conduct security checks of the building and teller stations.
• Ensure completion of daily assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Monitor and review financial institution's security procedures and control access to the vault.
• Update Branch Manager on branch operations status and pending issues.

Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year+ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
