About the Role

Oversee a team of operatives for safe and efficient SLURRY TBM tunnelling works, managing daily operations, quality, schedules, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate tunnelling operatives, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
• Conduct safety inspections, enforce protocols, identify hazards, and ensure proper worker training and equipment.
• Develop daily work plans, coordinate activities, manage equipment, and ensure timely task completion.
• Monitor tunnelling operations quality, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain records of work progress, daily reports, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with project engineers, site managers, and team members.
• Respond to emergencies, manage evacuations, and coordinate with emergency response teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in tunnelling construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Thorough understanding of tunnelling safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical knowledge of tunnelling equipment and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Relevant certifications in safety and tunnelling practices.
• 3+ years working in an underground environment on SLURRY Tunnel Boring Machines.
• Previous experience working as the PIC (Person in Charge).
