About the Role

Supports business office operations by actively listening to callers and booking appropriate OB/Gyn appointment types following provider restrictions. Serves as the initial point of contact, representing the organization by providing excellent customer service while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Books patient appointments for OB/GYN providers utilizing the Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Confirms and/or makes changes to demographic information and notifies patients of account balances.
  • Adheres to scheduling protocols for multiple locations and provider restrictions.
  • Uses electronic resource material as needed to support efficient appointment scheduling.
  • Performs within department metrics and call standards.
  • Screens and directs incoming calls as needed.
  • Verifies scheduling accuracy of MyChart appointments.
  • Adheres to all company policies, including OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
  • Works holiday shifts as required.
  • Follows assigned work schedule, promptly returning from breaks and lunch periods.
  • Maintains regular and dependable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience using a PC in a Windows environment required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in OB/Gyn, is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Six months or more of experience working in the Patient Call Coordinator role or similar experience is preferred.
  • Must reside in Texas.
  • Must be willing to attend on-site training and occasional in-person department meetings in Austin, TX.
