About the Role

We are seeking a Fabric Technician to join our team, responsible for performing essential building maintenance tasks and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Change shower cartridges and heads.
• Change taps and basins.
• Replace toilet cisterns and components.
• Unblock toilets, showers, and sinks.
• Change locks and adjust door closers.
• Report deficiencies in systems or equipment.
• Use work equipment and PPE properly.
• Report issues or training needs to Line Manager.
• Take reasonable care for health and safety of yourself and others.
• Follow all health and safety guidance and instructions.

Requirements

• A good basic education is essential.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Basic Mathematics skills.
• Formal fabric training.
• Formal building maintenance training.
• Formal health and safety training.
• Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
• Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
• Calm manner and able to work under pressure.
• Able to make sound decisions when needed.
• A team player, able to work with the team and client’s representatives at all levels.
• Willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice.
• Flexible in working patterns.
