About the Role

MUFG Investor Services is seeking an Associate Director to oversee and liaise with investment managers and vendors for day-to-day operational assistance and issues. This role involves participating in system improvement initiatives, coordinating regulatory reporting, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure deliverables are met. The position also supports the development of regulatory reporting processes, resource planning, and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and liaise with investment managers and vendors for day-to-day operational assistance and issues.
  • Participate in and oversee various system improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate and review all client regulatory reporting deliverables and associated reports.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure all internal and external deliverables are met.
  • Assist in developing and improving regulatory reporting processes and procedures.
  • Assist with department resource planning and staff allocation.
  • Attend pitches to potential new clients, due diligence meetings, and board/client meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Create and prepare regulatory reporting workings/reports when required.
  • Develop an understanding of the regulatory reporting environment and assist in creating service offerings.
  • Ensure all fees are billed and collected in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all processes are performed in accordance with operational procedures and controls.
  • Keep up to date with applicable regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Manage direct reports, assist in training team members, and participate in performance reviews.
  • Monitor and manage reporting deadlines for assigned services/clients.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in finance, accounting, mathematics or related fields.
  • 3-7 years’ experience in a regulatory reporting role.
