About the Role

This role is part of the eBay EU Brand team, responsible for managing and delivering editorial social activations and social native campaigns across categories for the German market. You will be employed by DEPT® but embedded within eBay.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement eBay Live social strategy in partnership with social lead and eBay Live team, ensuring alignment with business goals and broader editorial strategy.
  • Develop and craft social editorial content across platforms (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) in collaboration with agency partners, including influencer activations.
  • Brief and create content to support varying category needs and business objectives.
  • Support the delivery of social native campaigns within cross-functional teams, including activations across UK, DE, and US markets.
  • Coordinate paid media (boosting) strategy for evergreen and strategic campaigns, owning paid boosting of always-on content and supporting strategic campaign planning.
  • Collaborate with social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat etc.) to position eBay as a go-to brand partner for testing new ad formats and betas.
  • Lead agency partners in building and cultivating online communities around eBay’s social handles to encourage engagement.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing reports and insights to optimize strategies and performance with media agency partners.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (business units, media team, PR, Onsite etc.) to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of social media and relevant KPIs across platforms, staying updated on emerging trends, tech, and ad products.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in social media & influencer marketing for brands and/or agencies.
  • Profound expertise in developing social media campaigns and social editorial activations.
  • Previous work with creative or media agencies, with confidence in briefing, coordinating, and managing deliverables.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple workstreams and timelines.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in cross-functional setups and fast-paced environments.
  • Must have strong proficiency in both German and English languages (C2+).
