About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Parcels Planning team. This role will support commercial planning, forecasting, latest estimates, statistical analysis, and performance modelling by combining business understanding with statistical techniques, causal analysis, and AI-assisted workflows. You will help ensure the team has the necessary data, reporting, and analysis to understand business performance and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Commercial Planning Manager with the monthly latest estimate process, including data preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Maintain regular planning and commercial reporting across key Parcels KPIs such as sales, demand, revenue, margin, orders, AOV, conversion, and item performance.
  • Prepare analyses to explain performance movements, risks, and opportunities across countries, categories, parcel types, partners, and customer behavior.
  • Utilize AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, generate code, automate repetitive tasks, validate findings, and improve productivity while maintaining analytical rigor.
  • Support budget and forecast cycles by gathering inputs, checking assumptions, preparing data cuts, and analyzing movements against previous forecasts, budgets, or actual performance.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to address specific commercial and operational questions from leadership.
  • Identify where assumptions are working or not, and where further investigation is needed.
  • Support data quality checks to identify inconsistencies, missing data, or reporting issues.
  • Create simple, clear outputs for planning reviews, leadership updates, and commercial discussions.
  • Collaborate with the BI Developer to consume trusted reporting datasets and with the Commercial Planning Manager to translate analytical findings into commercial recommendations.
  • Help transition the team from manual, one-off data pulls to more repeatable and scalable ways of working.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial analysis, planning analysis, data analysis, or a similar analytical role with exposure to forecasting, statistical analysis, or business modelling.
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to support analytical workflows, generate code, automate analysis, validate findings, and improve productivity.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with the ability to work confidently with large datasets.
  • Experience using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical thinking with an understanding of statistical concepts and the ability to distinguish between descriptive reporting, correlation, and causal drivers.
  • Comfortable working with commercial KPIs such as revenue, margin, demand, orders, conversion, AOV, pricing, forecast accuracy, or inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when supporting forecast, budget, latest estimate, or business-critical reporting processes.
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques such as regression, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, time series analysis, or forecasting methods.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain analysis in a simple and practical way.
  • A structured and reliable way of working, capable of managing regular reporting tasks and supporting ad hoc analysis.
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to investigate messy data or unclear business questions.
