About the Role
Lead strategic and operational security initiatives to protect Konrad and client deliverables. Focus on IT security to safeguard internal tools, systems, and infrastructure against threats. Align internal security with client compliance requirements and enterprise-level standards. Requires strong leadership, hands-on practice, navigating regulatory landscapes, and clear communication with technical teams and executives. Embed security best practices internally and in client delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security strategies and policies.
- Lead compliance efforts aligned with client security requirements and industry frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Serve as a key point of contact for client security assessments and questionnaires.
- Manage security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management programs.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, product, and consulting teams to integrate security best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in IT and information security.
- Proven track record of managing internal IT security and compliance programs.
- Deep familiarity with common security frameworks and regulatory standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong technical background with hands-on understanding of cloud security, network architecture, access management, and secure software development practices.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and in-person from our Toronto office four days per week.
