About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to manage day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, record-keeping, and multi-currency reconciliations, providing critical support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities
- Input new supplier details and post invoices for Accounts Payable.
- Prepare quotes and update Smartsheet for Accounts Receivable.
- Manage daily payment allocations and upload banking data from multi-currency banks.
- Follow up on outstanding items and assist with payment runs.
- Manage credit card journals (PLEO) and ensure receipts are checked.
- Assist with PSA tax calculations and submission of national statistics surveys.
- Provide support for international local accounts, including reconciliation data and audit queries.
- Post lease journals and manage prepayments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance/accounting team or solid basic accounting knowledge.
- Good Excel skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Understanding of VAT (preferred).
- Experience with enterprise systems like Workday or SAP (preferred).
- Fluency in other languages (a significant plus).
