About the Role
Mini of Rochester and The Bob Johnson Automotive Group is looking for a motivated technician with an interest in growing with a fun and unique brand. All training expenses are paid for, with many trainings at exciting BMW M facilities.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test vehicles to keep equipment available for use.
- Perform preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters.
- Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and body damage.
- Replace parts and components.
- Conduct test drives to verify vehicle serviceability.
- Adjust controls and systems.
- Test engine, safety, and combustion control standards to comply with state vehicle requirements.
- Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
- Record service and repairs in vehicle records.
- Maintain shop equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options.
- Inventory stock, place orders, and verify receipt of supplies.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Complete related results as needed to accomplish maintenance and organization mission.
Requirements
- NYS Inspectors License required.
- Willingness and ability to operate as part of a fun hardworking team is a must.
