Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Shipping Department.
  • Follow load schedules and ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Coordinate the staging area.
  • Organize special packaging.
  • Load trucks.
  • Perform various operations in the department as required.

Requirements

  • Ability to sort items with good organizational skills.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Comprehend and follow work instructions, loading schedules, and production tickets.
  • Understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Communicate with coworkers and management clearly and respectfully.
  • Work in an ever-changing, fast-paced team environment.
  • Basic ability to read and write English.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work safely, take initiative, multi-task, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Work experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations.
  • Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift or longer in overtime situations.
  • Heavy loads must be team-lifted.
  • Maintain a work pace that ensures the integrity of the make-to-order system.
  • Comply with COVID policies established by a vendor or customer.
