About the Role
This role is responsible for receiving, maintaining, sorting, inspecting, storing, and distributing a wide variety of materials accurately and in a timely manner. The position involves operating material handling equipment, performing quality inspections, and ensuring accurate data entry and documentation within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Read and interpret stage plans, picklists, and SOPs/WIs.
- Accurately record information on travelers.
- Operate bar coding and other computerized equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment (RF devices, label machines, weight scales, forklift, picker, pallet jacks).
- Use RF devices to pick material, debox and label material, weight count material, issue material to a work order, and transfer material to manufacturing.
- Conduct quality inspections for correct part and lot numbers.
- Follow procedures for accurate transfers, transactions, and labeling.
- Ensure accuracy of documentation on Sterile Load forms.
- Perform receiving duties including unloading and loading trailers.
- Perform receiving functions into the MRP system.
- Put away inspected material.
- Participate in cycle counts and bay audits for inventory management.
- Perform data entry transactions using SAP to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Perform duties such as cleaning, processing returns, QA transfers, scrapping material, and mixing polymers.
- Ensure accurate data entry for work order closeouts.
- Perform visual inspection of product and release to inventory.
- Ensure accurate label accountability.
- Ensure a clean, safe work environment and safe operation of material handling equipment.
- Must be certified on power equipment.
- Practice safe lifting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory/legal requirements.
- Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Actively communicate with Production Coordinator and/or Production Supervisor.
- Be proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to operate powered equipment.
- Must be able to work in a high-paced, multi-task-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude in running and/or adjusting equipment and/or machines.
- Work safely and follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Notify manager/supervisor immediately for all on-the-job injuries or accidents.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to regularly stand and walk to perform production tasks.
- Perform repetitive movement while demonstrating proficient hand and eye coordination, hand dexterity, and good vision.
- Continual attention to the accuracy of documentation.
