About the Role

We are seeking a Head of People Operations to establish and lead the people function at Aion. This role involves collaborating with the founding team to scale our organization, focusing on attracting, retaining, and developing exceptional talent globally. The ideal candidate has prior experience leading People/HR functions in fast-paced startups and excels at building culture, processes, and teams from scratch.

Responsibilities

Partner with founders and leadership on organizational design and people strategy.
Build scalable people processes for hiring, onboarding, performance, and retention.
Drive initiatives that foster a strong, inclusive, and high-trust culture.
Mentor and support managers in building high-performing teams.
Oversee talent development, career growth programs, and engagement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and policies across regions.
Continuously improve HR systems and processes to keep pace with Aion’s growth.

Requirements

7+ years of People/HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Background in high-growth startups or scale-ups (ideally 50–250 employees).
Strong knowledge of HR practices, talent development, and organizational design.
Experience working with distributed/global teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution in a startup environment.
