About the Role

As a Senior IT Workplace Manager, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for the smooth operation of our tools, business applications, and end devices. You will ensure that our delivery teams and internal business service units have ideal working conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of our corporate IT strategy with a focus on Application & Asset Management, IT security (internal), and risk management for the ideal support of approx. 300 employees.
  • Holistic management and strategic further development of the technology stack for employees, from end device and software asset management (Endpoint/MDM) to the support of the SaaS landscape (Google Workspace, Atlassian, and more).
  • Responsibility for the strategic further development of IT service processes, including the entire user lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, and project changes), access management, and user support.
  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of three system administrators and responsibility for the further development of our IT Operations team, as well as participation in the development of guidelines and processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive technology experience & competence: Deep technical understanding and proven experience in managing modern, cloud-centric IT landscapes.
  • Foundational knowledge in the central management of SaaS applications (SaaSOps for Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Asana, etc.) – ideally supplemented by scripting skills for automation.
  • Experience in managing heterogeneous client fleets (macOS, Windows, Linux) via MDM/UEM platforms (e.g., Hexnode, Intune).
  • Secure know-how in Identity & Access Management (IAM) with modern IdP and SSO solutions (e.g., Google Identity, Okta).
  • Consulting competence & leadership experience: Strong communication and coordination skills in exchange with the entire organization, good networking with operational service and project teams, and consulting competence for management.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing IT teams.
  • Experience in IT security & compliance: Practical experience in the collaborative implementation of modern security concepts.
  • Ideally familiar with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR) and standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI IT-Grundschutz.
  • Project management & structure: IT project management skills, a structured approach, routine in actively managing change processes (change management), and a keen eye for budget and cost control.
  • Language skills: Very good German (min. C1) and English skills. Both languages are used in our daily work; the majority in the IT Ops team communicates mainly in English.
