About the Role
The Rockwell Museum is seeking enthusiastic individuals to support Guest Services and Event Setup operations. This part-time to full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work in one of Corning's premier cultural destinations, creating memorable experiences for visitors.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist museum visitors with a warm, professional attitude.
- Sell admissions, memberships, and Museum Store merchandise.
- Answer visitor questions and help create an exceptional guest experience.
- Support activities at the KIDS ROCKWELL Art Lab.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, podiums, and equipment.
- Prepare spaces for receptions, concerts, lectures, private events, and other museum programs.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable handling cash, technology, and basic computer systems.
- Able to lift event equipment and remain on their feet for extended periods.
- Flexible and available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of visitors, including children and families.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow directions effectively.
