About the Role
The Home Equity Specialist provides a broad range of services to customers, ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records and reports.
Responsibilities
- Provide a broad range of consumer lending services to customers.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of bank consumer products and services to ascertain customer needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle communications regarding loan status, approvals, and payoffs.
- Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments.
- Input data into loan origination and host systems.
- Prepare necessary mortgage compliance documents.
- Review new application packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare commitment letters.
- Prepare closing packages with all applicable loan and legal documents.
- Generate flood certifications, regulatory disclosures, etc.
- Order appraisals, flood certifications, and title reports.
- Work with underwriters to ensure clear title and all conditions of commitment are satisfied prior to closings.
Requirements
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures.
