About the Role

The Home Equity Specialist provides a broad range of services to customers, ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a broad range of consumer lending services to customers.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank consumer products and services to ascertain customer needs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Handle communications regarding loan status, approvals, and payoffs.
  • Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments.
  • Input data into loan origination and host systems.
  • Prepare necessary mortgage compliance documents.
  • Review new application packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare commitment letters.
  • Prepare closing packages with all applicable loan and legal documents.
  • Generate flood certifications, regulatory disclosures, etc.
  • Order appraisals, flood certifications, and title reports.
  • Work with underwriters to ensure clear title and all conditions of commitment are satisfied prior to closings.

Requirements

  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of bank operating policies and procedures.
