About the Role

Our BIM Coordinators are an integral part of the design team, leading and coordinating the process of generating digital models and integrated data about a project from the design to the construction stage. You will be a key figure in a project team, responsible for the BIM workflow and ensuring timely and efficient resolution of potential issues during model authoring, design coordination, and clash detection, as well as data embedding. You will be the go-to person for setting up project-specific guidelines for task teams and ensuring information is linked across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and mentoring to the project/delivery team using BIM authoring tools.
  • Manage and maintain project content and source additional content as required.
  • Communicate changes in procedure and standards effectively to project teams.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets, workflow, and project set-up.
  • Communicate effectively and offer cross-team support.
  • Set-up linked models and coordinate models across various disciplines.
  • Perform daily model management administration, maintenance, and assurance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of BIM Execution Plans, TIDPs/MIDPs, MPDT, Responsibility Matrices, and project-specific training guides.
  • Develop an understanding of executing standards and industry best practices, implementing them during the design phase through construction, close-out, and handover.
  • Manage and coordinate sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

Requirements

  • Ability to work and coordinate with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to write and edit both internal and external documentation.
  • Hands-on experience within the construction industry is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a UK resident and able to obtain clearance.

Skills

  • Proficient in Bentley and Autodesk suits including software such as Revit, Navisworks/Solibri, CAD, CDE solutions such as ACC and Aconex.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating suite, Teams, SharePoint and PowerBI is an advantage.

Experience Level

  • Working experience, ideally in the discipline of digital construction and experience of advanced BIM technology would be advantageous.

Education Level

  • Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Construction Management, BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or a HNC / HND.
