About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Reporting will assist in the preparation of financial statements, MD&A, month-end close process, process improvements, SOX compliance, and other special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, and related management discussion and analysis.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of the month-end close process, including general ledger reconciliations and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate with the team and an external audit firm for quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Assist in testing of internal control processes and systems.
  • Assist in other special projects, such as financing, systems implementations/integrations, and ad hoc reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • CPA designation.
  • 4+ years of experience preparing/reviewing public company financial statements (US GAAP and/or IFRS) through audit experience at an accounting firm.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under US GAAP and/or IFRS; candidates with an IFRS background must demonstrate willingness and ability to transition to a US GAAP reporting environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and relevant experience with an accounting software.
  • Excellent written English skills for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable.
  • Ability to work independently in a changing environment.
