About the Role
Forward Deployed Engineers work directly with customers to understand their problems and implement solutions integrating their data with Rilla's conversational intelligence. You will apply problem-solving, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use data for real-world impact. This role offers the opportunity to gain rare insight into and contribute to critical industries in the offline world, similar to a startup CTO, owning end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement solutions integrating customer data with Rilla's conversational intelligence.
- Apply problem-solving ability, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations use their data to drive real impact.
- Gain rare insight into and contribute to the most critical industries of the offline world.
- Work in small teams, often solo, and own end-to-end execution of high stakes projects.
- Discuss data models and workflows with customer executives.
- Wrangle massive-scale data.
- Hack an integration or full-stack feature.
- Bring insights back to the rest of the team.
- Extend Rilla’s existing footprint and strategy into new markets and problem spaces.
Requirements
- Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, such as Javascript, C++, Python, Rust, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with storage and data processing systems, cloud infrastructure, and other technical tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to iterate quickly with teammates, incorporating feedback and holding a high bar for quality.
- Ability and interest to travel up to 50%, as needed to client sites.

Salary/Compensations
- $185,000 - $230,000/year
- Total compensation may also include Incentive Stock Options, sign-on bonus, and other potential future incentives.
