About the Role

This role is responsible for setting up the Japan institutional strategy across three segments: financial institution, public pension, and private pension. The focus will be on products that can be turned into business within 1-2 years, with a specific emphasis on defining 1-2 focus products in equity, fixed income, public, and private credit. The position requires tracking pipeline status, supporting business materialization, and collaborating with various internal teams. Additionally, the role involves presenting market trends and regulatory changes to senior management to secure necessary support and aligning with global financial goals to establish AB as a respected asset management company.

Responsibilities

  • Set up Japan institutional strategy by three segments (financial institution, public pension, private pension)
  • Focus on products that will be turned into business in 1-2 years
  • Define 1-2 focus products in equity, fixed income, public and private credit
  • Track pipeline status regularly and support materialization into real business
  • Co-work with sales associates, business development, product development, operations & reporting, and compliance teams
  • Present Japanese institutional market product trends, regulation changes, and any impact matters to AB senior management
  • Align with AB global financial goals and demonstrate AB as a respected global asset management company

Requirements

  • Around 10 years of experience in investment management and/or sales experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial and capital markets
  • Result driven with targeted closing timing
  • Obtain interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships both internally and externally
  • High ethical standard/integrity
  • Better to have team management experience in the past career
  • English communication skills
