About the Role
Renesas is seeking a leader to drive quality improvement initiatives for new product development and volume ramp-up within the Performance Computing Power (PCP) business division. This role focuses on achieving a zero-defect mindset for products serving the AI hyperscale data center market, collaborating across R&D, operations, and quality teams to ensure high-quality, ramp-ready products.
Responsibilities
- Define, track, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives for NPI products.
- Collaborate with Power STO teams to implement process changes and advocate for new quality tools.
- Analyze and report on PCP quality performance, including DPPM and customer return trends.
- Serve as a liaison to external customer quality assurance teams to ensure alignment.
- Assess training needs and improve team skillsets in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements and internal audit readiness.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve critical quality issues through structured problem-solving.
- Define standards compliance for AI datacenter products and represent the company on external standards committees.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product development or quality engineering teams.
- Solid understanding of new product development processes, semiconductor supply chains, and production environments.
- Expertise in statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies like 8D and 3x5 Why.
- Ability to manage supplier excursions and drive resolution of customer escalations.
- Knowledge of commercial and automotive quality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
