Responsibilities
- Works with management in establishing personal, growth, sales, and profit objectives.
- Provides input to objectives and performance measurement and control.
- Ensures the branch office is properly staffed and staff are trained to meet client service and sales objectives.
- Ensures all branch operations comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Provides for the proper security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the branch office.
- Supervises the opening and closing of the building and vault.
- Makes provisions for securing and accounting of negotiable papers.
- Provides a broad range of consumer services, including deposit, loan, wealth management, and other products.
- Approves or rejects loan applications within individual lending authority.
- Assists clients in obtaining specialized services from other company departments.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of company consumer products and services to ascertain client needs and sell accordingly.
- Ensures all client service personnel are adequately trained in product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Conducts regular sales and client service meetings.
- Ensures timely provision of all sales and client service reporting information.
- Serves as an active member of the branch client service team and is accountable for sales performance.
- Makes outside sales and client service calls on present and prospective clients.
- Maintains ongoing business relationships with present clients for cross-selling opportunities.
- Advocates for the company by leveraging visibility and activity in the community.
- Implements strategies to achieve departmental goals as established in the annual operating plan.
- Assists in the development of the annual office budget and adheres to budget parameters.
- Organizes branch office work and activities to achieve established goals.
- Monitors office efficiency and performance against established standards.
- Supervises the preparation and scanning of all teller work.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, developing employees, appraising performance, rewarding, coaching, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Conforms to General Performance Expectations.
Requirements
- Intermediate formal education or equivalent preferred.
- Specialized bank education and training.
- A minimum of 2-4 years experience in a related position for Branch Manager I; additional experience for Branch Manager II.
- Proficient communication, interpersonal and sales skills.
- A thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all company products and services.
- A working knowledge of operating policies and procedures.
- Sufficient skills to manage an office.
- Moderate computer skills.
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar and math skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to support multiple branch locations as needed.
