About the Role

As an Education Officer at HateAid, you will design and deliver targeted educational programs on online hate and digital citizenship, both online and in person. This role involves extensive travel and requires responsibility for planning, executing, and following up on events and workshops. You will develop innovative formats and collaborate closely with partners to provide sustainable education and empower individuals to combat digital hate.

Responsibilities

Preparation, execution, and follow-up of educational events, seminars, and workshops
Independent organization of appointments and coordination with organizers
Development of innovative educational formats (digital, hybrid, and in-person)
Professional support and advice for participants and multipliers
Cooperation and network building with partner organizations, educational institutions, and authorities
Evaluation and quality assurance of educational offerings
Conception of digital educational and informational materials

Requirements

A degree in humanities and/or social sciences, preferably social work, social pedagogy, psychology, or educational sciences, or a completed apprenticeship in relevant fields is helpful, but personality and experience are more important than degrees.
Your residence and habitual abode are in Germany
You speak and write German and English fluently and are comfortable conducting workshops in both languages
Willingness for weekly business trips and weekend work by arrangement
Experience in planning and conducting educational events
Didactic competence and methodological diversity
Knowledge in the area of digital violence and disinformation
Familiarity with various digital tools for organization and communication, and proficiency in the MS Office suite
You are a politically thinking person and want to engage against digital violence
