About the Role
Oversee the delivery of large-scale programmes of work, drive improvements in delivery processes, and mentor other delivery managers. This role requires a master of agile methodologies and a strategic thinker who can align complex delivery streams with overarching business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end delivery plan.
- Engage and align diverse teams toward shared goals.
- Partner with teams to agree on OKRs, build robust plans, and monitor progress.
- Take corrective action when progress towards OKRs is at risk.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within technology teams and the wider business.
- Partner with managers to improve developer and employee experience.
- Build and drive systems that identify and remove impediments and improve team productivity.
- Continuously refine the delivery framework to remove friction, increase speed, and improve output quality.
- Build a high-performing culture centered on continuous delivery, innovation, and efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and seek improvements to increase the speed and quality of outcome realization.
- Actively hunt and eliminate risks.
- Proactively identify, visualize, and seek to eliminate cross-team dependencies.
- Own the accuracy of time and cost forecasts.
- Serve as the authoritative voice on project status, costs, and timelines.
- Prepare stakeholder communications prioritizing status, timelines, and costs in the context of value delivered.
- Facilitate reporting that bridges the gap between technical progress and business expectations.
Requirements
- Natural leader, able to inspire and motivate diverse teams.

- Systems-thinker, able to see the bigger picture and connect disparate parts of the organization.
- Deep-seated passion for continuous improvement and for developing others.
- 5+ years of experience in agile delivery, with significant experience managing large-scale, complex programmes of work.
- Proven experience in a leadership or line management role, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to operate at a strategic level.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing large, multi-million-pound budgets (e.g., £5m+).
- A deep understanding of the energy industry landscape, including regulatory, commercial, and technological trends.
- Experience in managing third-party suppliers and commercial agreements.
- A strategic and outcome-focused mindset, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans.
