About the Role

Impact Fire Services is seeking individuals to learn the mechanics of sprinkler system installation through an apprenticeship program. This role offers multiple career paths in fire and life safety within an employee-focused company culture, providing mentorship and training from industry experts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Fitter to complete work on job sites efficiently.
• Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain state licensing.
• Protect and maintain company equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Fitter and/or Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Manager.
• Site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing work materials.
• Cut and thread pipe.
• Install and test fire sprinkler systems under guidance.
• Ensure a safe environment for self, co-workers, and customers.

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal work instructions.
• Capable of working independently with moderate supervision.
• Demonstrate initiative to learn trade skills.
• Ability to learn installation, inspection, and servicing codes.
• Ability to perform physical activities.
• Ability to read labels, signage, and directions.
• Basic math computation skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong organization skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet driving record requirements.
• Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening.
• MVR checks required for all driving positions.
• Continued employment contingent on obtaining applicable state licensing.
