About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Python Software Engineer with approximately five years of experience to deepen their expertise in commodities trading within the Engelhart Technology team's Risk, Finance & Compliance function. The position involves high autonomy, direct stakeholder exposure, and end-to-end ownership of initiatives. It provides a unique chance to influence the technology landscape and deliver impactful solutions in a collaborative, delivery-focused team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance in-house systems and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with Risk & Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical support to Risk, Finance, and Front Office users, focusing on Python libraries, cloud infrastructure, and data access.
- Contribute to the evolution of the technology platform, including architectural design and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Design and implement new data visualizations for internal dashboards and reporting.
- Perform data cleansing, enrichment, and transformation using efficient and scalable tools.
- Develop and maintain data integration services and query interfaces.
- Participate in technology projects supporting key business initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong Python developer with current experience in a commodities trading environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and experience working with distributed or remote teams.
- Willingness to share knowledge, mentor others, and continuously learn.
