About the Role

We are seeking a Software Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain our software products through the development of web applications and websites that support REDCOM's new vertical product capability. We are looking for someone who thrives while working in a supportive environment where you can both have fun, and where your development efforts will make a tangible difference.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, manage, maintain and support REDCOM software products
• Works individually or within a team to implement specific features and resolve customer issues
• Acquire an expert level understanding of technologies and protocols relevant to REDCOM products
• Complete special projects and perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one (sponsorship available).
• Development of websites and web applications as well as maintaining existing code.
• Front-end and back-end development, including seamless integration of front- to back-end functionality.
• Model-View Controller (MVC) and modern web frameworks.
• PHP expertise
• Effective use of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS.
• SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Development of APIs (REST/JSON)
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the software development field
• BS or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Telecommunications and Chat protocols; including SIP, XMPP
• IP Networking technologies and protocols
• Bootstrap
• CodeIgniter
• Vue.js
• Testing tools, including Selenium and PHPUnit
• FreeBSD, Linux or other current Unix environments
• GIT
• Apache
• Security and encryption
• CMFF / Modular Systems: Familiarity with or ability to quickly ramp up on CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF), open architecture standards, and C5ISR/EW capabilities is highly desired.
• Must be able to work at a computer/computer workstation for extended periods of time.
