About the Role
We are seeking an experienced PQE to support a large multidisciplinary project for a green hydrogen processing plant, encompassing the expansion and development of remote accommodation, supporting utilities, and associated infrastructure. This position requires a strong leadership role in Quality Assurance and Quality Control throughout the engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning phases. This role is suitable for candidates with proven experience in quality management for complex infrastructure projects, including work related to camp facilities, utilities, civil works, modular buildings, and MEP systems.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain the project quality management system in accordance with project requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant international standards.
- Develop and maintain the project quality plan, ITPs, and associated QA/QC procedures tailored to a remote site infrastructure and accommodation development project.
- Lead quality oversight for construction activities in modular or prefabricated process plants and steel structures, and electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain and update material test records, traceability logs, and quality documentation to support project delivery and regulatory compliance.
- Manage QA/QC issues across various disciplines during the construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
- Monitor the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors, including document reviews, inspections, audits, FAT/SAT, and conformity assessments.
- Ensure proper quality control for the receipt, storage, preservation, installation, and testing of materials.
- Coordinate quality documentation for system completion, handover packages, acceptance, and operational readiness.
- Implement and manage non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action systems.
- Generate regular reports on quality performance and KPIs, ensuring alignment with project management requirements.
- Effectively implement and coordinate supplier evaluations and inspection activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through contributions to lessons learned, process optimization, and cross-project knowledge sharing.
- Conduct inspections and reviews of packaging units and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Perform detailed inspections across various project stages, including receipt, storage, fabrication, and installation, to ensure traceability and adherence to quality control procedures.
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor audits as required to verify compliance with ITM's quality management systems and client expectations.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience in material testing within industrial construction, energy, chemical, or raw materials sectors, with a strong understanding of QA/QC methods and documentation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, material specifications, codes, and standards applicable to construction and fabrication.
- In-depth knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling methods, and quality control principles related to metallic and non-metallic materials.
- Familiarity with industry standards and specifications such as ASME, ASTM, API, or equivalent.
- Proficiency with inspection tools, documentation systems, and data management software to support efficient and accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to develop, update, and maintain internal technical standards and specifications.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 and 14000 series standards, as well as international standards relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and compliance.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work constructively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate with suppliers and clients.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
