About the Role

The Senior Tender & Contract Specialist role at Medtronic involves coordinating tender submissions, contract negotiations, and managing the customer supply contract lifecycle for public and private healthcare sectors in ANZ. You will interact directly with external stakeholders, representing Medtronic in tender and contract management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the identification, preparation, coordination, and submission of all tender responses.
  • Provide commercial guidance regarding customer procurement activities to support bid/no bid decisions.
  • Manage the coordination and consolidation of all clarification and negotiation requests.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Manage the coordination and outcome of the post tender process for respective regions, including following up unsuccessful tenders.
  • Package tender documents for timely submission to tender boards in both hard and soft formats.
  • Create and maintain a central database of company information needed for tender submissions.
  • Provide visibility, guidance, and communication to Sales, Marketing, and other functions involved in a tender submission.
  • Develop and maintain a continuous communication channel with Sales, Marketing, and customer procurement departments.
  • Operate as a backup for other team members in case of absences.
  • Attend customer meetings and business review meetings, and facilitate them with internal teams.
  • Preparation, co-ordination and review of all contract and customer agreements, extensions and variations.
  • Liaise with legal department, functions & internal stakeholders for any terms and conditions in conflict with Medtronic standard terms and conditions.
  • Execute variations accurately and within agreed upon timeframes.
  • Provide pro-active support to Sales and Marketing through contract activity reports, expiration notifications, and other contract information.
  • Maintain the contract log in to our contracts repository, ensuring records are complete and up to date.
  • Maintain and update internal trackers on a regular basis.
  • Ensure that all quality requirements and objectives are achieved.
  • Participate in projects as required, to improve systems and processes for tender and contract management activities, reviews and maintenance.
  • Continuous education on changing market conditions and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Law, or any contract-related discipline.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build credible working relationships with customers and employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Strategic Agility.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi task and manage complexity.

Skills

  • Vendavo application knowledge and experience (Preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) software preferred.

Experience Level

  • 3-5+ years in a “Tender Specialist” or “Tenders & Contracts Specialist/Analyst” role within a medical or highly regulated industry preferred.
