About the Role

PhysicsX is seeking experienced Data Scientists to join our growing team in Singapore. This role involves building practical, AI-driven simulation software solutions for customers in advanced industries, requiring strong foundations in data-driven modeling and deep learning techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-processing and analysis of complex data to prepare it for predictive modeling.
  • Establish best practices and methodologies for data preparation within the team.
  • Architect and develop deep learning models combined with optimization methods to predict and control physical systems.
  • Take full responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and impact of work and team output.
  • Design, build, and test reliable, scalable, and robust data pipelines for production environments.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with simulation engineers for seamless integration of data science models.
  • Drive internal R&D and product development, refining models and identifying new applications.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
  • Lead open communication and presentations with technical teams and customers.
  • Onboard users and co-develop solutions with customers.
  • Represent PhysicsX as a technical authority at customer sites globally.
  • Collaborate closely with customers on-site to build solutions.
  • Influence technical direction and shape future solutions and products.
  • Develop skills as a technical leader.

Requirements

  • Experienced problem solver and technical leader passionate about building practical solutions.
  • Ability to grasp advanced engineering concepts across multiple industries.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives.
  • Excel at working directly with customers, often on-site.
  • Consistently tackled difficult problems requiring strong foundations in data-driven modeling and deep learning techniques.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in probabilistic methods and predictive modeling.
  • Proven experience in industry (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial, non-research environment.
  • Ability to execute, lead, and mentor others.
  • Excited about growing technical expertise and leadership skills.
  • Naturally take ownership of complex data science work streams and guide teams to success.
  • Continuously improve systems and solutions to ensure they are practical, impactful, and meet evolving customer needs.
