About the Role
The role of Coordinator for Child Protection and Anti-Discrimination serves as the central coordination point for child protection and anti-discrimination across all ALBA BERLIN companies. The objective is to further develop child protection and anti-discrimination as binding cross-cutting themes, ensure internal standards, professionally support reports and case concerns, and coordinate prevention and training measures. This position combines expert advice and support in individual cases with the organization-wide development of concepts, standards, and structures.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the central point of contact for all companies and legal forms regarding child protection and the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
- Further develop and implement organization-wide protection, prevention, and complaint structures.
- Create risk analyses of our facilities, including sports halls.
- Receive, review, document, and manage complaints according to § 13 AGG and recommend appropriate measures.
- Conduct risk assessments according to § 8a SGB VIII.
- Monitor protective measures in cases of boundary violations and discrimination.
- Advise and support parents, coaches, children, and young people.
- Plan and coordinate training, sensitization measures, and interdisciplinary cooperation.
Requirements
- Completed further training as an 'Insoweit erfahrene Fachkraft' (child protection expert).
- Completed university degree, pedagogical training, or comparable qualification.
- Ideally, initial professional experience in child protection, anti-discrimination work, or a comparable counseling field.
- Sound knowledge in child protection and/or anti-discrimination.
- Willingness for continuous professional development (e.g., anti-discrimination counseling or complaint management).
- Experience in developing or implementing protection, prevention, or complaint structures is advantageous.
- Strong counseling, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Confident interaction with various stakeholders.
- Structured, independent, and meticulous work style.
- High level of responsibility and confidentiality.
- Cooperation skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- A current extended certificate of good conduct is required for employment.
