About the Role

Blue Education is seeking a Career Coaching Lead to build and scale its career coaching business. This role involves coaching ambitious students for competitive careers, managing part-time coaches, and developing scalable systems. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and execution-focused, with experience in high-performance professional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale the career coaching business in the UK.
  • Transform early success cases into a structured, repeatable, and scalable service.
  • Define the student journey, coaching process, service standards, and delivery model.
  • Collaborate with the founder to establish career coaching as a core business line.
  • Develop the operating system for managing students, coaches, timelines, outcomes, and feedback.
  • Oversee student support for applications to spring weeks, internships, graduate schemes, and other competitive opportunities.
  • Deliver 1:1 coaching, spending 20-30% of time on direct coaching.
  • Ensure students receive clear, practical, high-standard guidance.
  • Track student progress, outcomes, and success stories.
  • Manage the existing network of part-time coaches.
  • Recruit additional high-quality part-time coaches.
  • Match students with appropriate coaches.
  • Maintain high standards across all coaching delivery.
  • Represent Blue Education at university campuses, student events, webinars, and workshops.
  • Deliver talks on careers, applications, internships, and graduate recruitment.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to shape events and messaging.
  • Build credibility with students at top UK universities.
  • Collaborate with admissions consultants, mentors, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Provide insights into student needs and market demands.
  • Create content, guides, workshops, and event materials.
  • Use student feedback and results to continuously improve the product.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, finance, or a closely related high-performance professional environment.
  • Strong understanding of competitive graduate recruitment.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple students, coaches, deadlines, and outcomes simultaneously.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in building, testing, iterating, and owning results.
  • Strong project management ability.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • High standards, strong judgment, and ability to work directly with senior leadership.
  • Experience coaching students or graduates into competitive roles (nice to have).
  • Experience with spring weeks, internships, graduate schemes, assessment centres, or case interviews (nice to have).
  • Experience organizing university events, workshops, or campus campaigns (nice to have).
  • Experience managing freelancers, mentors, tutors, or part-time professionals (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of UK and international student markets (nice to have).
  • Mandarin Chinese language ability or experience working with international students (nice to have).
