About the Role
TruBlue of Great Hills is a family-run business backed by a national brand, dedicated to helping seniors age safely in their homes and providing peace of mind to busy families. This role is project-based and will grow into full-time work, offering fair hourly pay with a clear path to steady employment as the client base expands.
Responsibilities
- Perform bathroom repairs and upgrades, including tub/shower system swaps, vanity and toilet installations, tile repairs, and light refresh projects.
- Execute kitchen repairs and refreshes, such as installing/adjusting cabinets, trim, backsplashes, and general kitchen repairs.
- Conduct finish carpentry work, including repairing/replacing doors, casing, base, crown, cabinet trim, and shelving.
- Build and repair decks, railings, stairs, gates, and fencing.
- Handle general home repairs such as drywall repair, flooring repair/installation, interior/exterior painting, caulking, weather sealing, and punch-list items.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical tasks, including straightforward fixture swaps, outlets, lights, and fans within code and license limits.
- Complete aging-in-place and safety upgrades for seniors, such as installing grab bars, handrails, comfort-height fixtures, and slip-resistant flooring.
- Undertake basic maintenance tasks like gutter cleaning and filter changes.
- Utilize HouseCall Pro on a smartphone for scheduling, check-ins, photo documentation, and invoicing.
Requirements
- Several years of paid residential carpentry, remodeling, or high-end handyman work.
- Hands-on experience with bathrooms, kitchens, or cabinets in owner-occupied homes.
- Strong make-ready/property-management technicians with proven building and finishing skills are also considered.
- A commitment to quality and safety, taking pride in clean, straight, finished work.
- Reliable, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with customers, particularly seniors and families.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, high-accountability crew.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle.
- Possession of a solid set of tools.
- Access to a smartphone for app usage and photos.
- Fluent in English.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
