About the Role

bonial is looking for a (Junior) Accounting Specialist (m/w/d) to support the Accounting team in daily operations and month-end and year-end closing processes. This role is designed as an entry-level and support position with structured onboarding and the prospect of gradually taking on responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Processing and posting of incoming invoices and handling the central accounting mailbox.
• Settlement of credit cards and travel expenses, including tax treatment.
• Processing of advance payments, self-billing, and incoming reminders and credit notes.
• Maintenance of accounts receivable, including open items and dunning.
• Support with provisions, accruals, and account reconciliations as part of month-end and year-end closing.
• Assisting in the preparation of documents for external auditors and in transfer pricing documentation.
• Close collaboration with the Accounting and FP&A team to ensure data quality and smooth processes.

Requirements

• First professional experience in financial accounting, accounting, or a comparable role, ideally through commercial or tax training.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and a high affinity for numbers.
• Good Excel skills and willingness to learn SAP.
• Curiosity and openness to working with AI tools in daily finance operations.
• Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way of working.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and communicative, with a high degree of personal responsibility.
• Interest in professional development and gradually taking on more responsibility in accounting.
• Very good German language skills (min. C1) for invoice processing, supplier contact, and tax matters.
• Good English language skills (min. B2) for collaboration in an international environment.
