About the Role

As a Social Worker, you will support refugees in settling into Germany, provide guidance on social and personal matters, and offer orientation in daily life. Your work will significantly contribute to stability and integration.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, support, guide, and activate the self-help capabilities of those affected.
  • Provide daily support, including information about life, rights, and obligations in Germany.
  • Support and promote peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with administrative matters and accompany individuals to medical appointments.
  • Organize daily life and leisure activities with pedagogical considerations.
  • Collaborate with clients, volunteers, external specialists, associations, and organizations (networking).

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Social Management, or Social Psychology, OR equivalent minimum 6 years of professional experience and knowledge in social work, social pedagogy, or social counseling.
  • Assertiveness, conflict management skills, and independent work style.
  • Very good German language skills; additional foreign languages are advantageous (e.g., French, Arabic, Albanian, Russian, Mandarin, Tigrinya etc.).
  • Advantageous: Experience working with people from diverse cultures or with refugees.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proof of measles vaccination according to the Infection Protection Act (IfSG).
  • An extended police clearance certificate without entries.
