About the Role

Join United's Technical Operations team as an Electrician, ensuring our world-class aircraft are meticulously maintained and ready for service. This role is crucial for keeping our fleet in optimal condition, supporting our mission to connect customers with their destinations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, test, and adjust electrical machinery and equipment according to NEC and OSHA standards.
  • Work with industrial solid-state circuitry, including power transistors, diodes, AC/DC motor generator circuits, and transformer types.
  • Perform general repair of all building electrical equipment.
  • Work around-the-clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in outdoor conditions and all weather.
  • Understand that schedules are bid and awarded based on seniority.
  • Adhere to salary increases administered according to the current IBT/United contract.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic and electrical symbols for wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with high voltage equipment.
  • Capability to run, bend, install conduit, and pull wire.
  • At least 24 months of Industrial Electrician experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mobility requirements including lifting, carrying, crawling, and ladder climbing.
  • Comfortable and able to work in confined spaces.
  • Availability to work any assigned shift within a 24/7 operation, including late nights, early hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Overtime available/required depending upon operational need.
