About the Role
We are seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenance team at our Minto site. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You'll carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help maximise equipment uptime while minimising operational disruptions.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical equipment, machinery, and plant infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation, packaging and control system faults to minimise downtime.
- Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
- Support continuous improvement projects and identify opportunities to enhance plant efficiency.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, quality and engineering teams to keep operations running smoothly.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide effective technical support.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Requirements
- Current Australian Electrical Trade Qualification and NSW Electrical Licence.
- Experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Strong fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repair skills across electrical and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and breakdown response and using a CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance records.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A proactive, safety-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience with automated packaging equipment (Meypack experience is highly regarded).
