About the Role
Collaborate across several news channels and departments to coordinate the administrative operations of the News editorial team at Sky News.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate news rosters utilizing roster software.
- Communicate roster changes with staff and work with managers to approve annual leave requests and seek replacements to cover leave.
- Distribute staffing lists.
- Coordinate travel for domestic and foreign assignments.
- Provide support where needed for big news events.
- Complete the hire process and onboarding for new staff using Workday software, liaising with Finance and HR departments.
- Process invoices for news operations and assign to relevant departments.
- Complete the administrative steps for the set-up of new suppliers for news operations.
- Submit Purchase Order requests for approval for new and existing suppliers.
- Develop supporting guides and documents for news operations.
Requirements
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Good understanding of financial operations.
- Strong communicator.
- Technically proficient and able to adapt to new software.
- Quick to react with an ability to think outside the box to solve problems.
