About the Role
Trend Micro, a global cybersecurity leader founded in Japan, aims to create a world where digital information can be exchanged securely. With over 35 years of experience, we protect the security environments of over 500,000 organizations and individuals. Our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service focuses on early detection of cyberattacks and minimizing damage by monitoring customer environments, investigating alerts, responding to incidents, and creating reports.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze events suspected of being incidents, perform monitoring and response operations, and improve operations.
- Automate operations, create investigation reports, and handle customer communications (inquiries, incident reports, service review meetings).
- Enhance MDR service functionality and expand services through new service planning.
- Tune detection logic through statistical analysis of alert and log data, and advance anomaly detection and correlation analysis.
- Generate insights for service quality improvement by visualizing and analyzing MDR operational data (incident counts, SLOs, detection trends, etc.).
- Provide threat response support and disseminate threat intelligence internally and externally.
- Collaborate with Japanese teams during Japanese business hours for monitoring and response, while leveraging 24-hour monitoring by overseas teams.
Requirements
- Approximately 3 years of IT-related experience, including operations/construction of servers, networks, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including handling customer inquiries.
- Interest and passion for the cybersecurity industry, with a willingness to stay updated on threat trends.
- English communication skills (reading and writing proficiency required initially, with a future need for conversational skills for escalations, meetings, and troubleshooting with overseas teams).
