About the Role
Associates are the engine behind GLG’s Insight Network, the world’s largest and most varied source of first-hand expertise. This fast-paced, expert-facing role drives GLG’s business forward by understanding client project requests, creating innovative solutions, identifying and recruiting new Network Members, and ensuring end-to-end delivery of calls to provide a seamless client experience. Associates complete a comprehensive training program, receive daily coaching and feedback, and develop strong, transferable business and leadership skills. Associates typically progress to advanced, client-facing roles after achieving specific goals.
Responsibilities
- Supporting team members on various aspects of client projects and Network Member engagement.
- Recruiting new experts to join GLG’s insight network through targeted lead generation and timely outreach by phone, email, and other methods.
- Building understanding of client strategies, various industry sectors, and value chains to identify and vet the best experts for client projects.
- Scheduling and confirming critical calls and meetings between GLG’s clients and Network Members, including scheduling all calls with new recruits.
- Proactively engaging with GLG’s Network Members to understand their expertise and gauge their fit on client projects.
- Collaborating closely with client-facing team members to expand projects and rescope recruiting populations to drive successful client outcomes.
- Learning and upholding compliance policies and procedures to protect the integrity of client engagements.
Requirements
- University Degree
- Fluency in Japanese and English is crucial
- 1-2 years of working experience in a client facing role
- Confident and strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal skills and motivation to work on the phone daily with Network Members and potential recruits.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment where we strive to provide an excellent experience for experts and clients.
- Ability to work responsibly and manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and prioritize effectively, given that priorities shift quickly at GLG.
- High motivation to exceed personal weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly digest and implement feedback and coaching.
- Eagerness to learn about new topics, industries, and companies.
