About the Role

As Vendor Manager within the Bank Technology team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing strategic partnerships, ensuring vendors and service providers consistently deliver exceptional service, innovation, and value. You will be the trusted link between AMP and its diverse portfolio of strategic partners, driving accountability, managing performance, and ensuring vendors remain aligned to operational priorities and long-term business objectives. This role influences how AMP leverages external partnerships to enable critical banking, lending, financial crime, data, and integration capabilities by balancing commercial outcomes, risk management, governance, and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and manage strategic vendor partnerships.

  • Act as the trusted link between AMP and its strategic partners.

Requirements

  • Commercially minded relationship builder with experience in vendor partnerships.
  • Experience in vendor management, procurement, contract management, or supplier governance.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Maintain a strong focus on service outcomes, compliance, and business performance.
  • Collaborative approach and exceptional communication skills.
  • Confidence to influence internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Experience managing contracts.
  • Experience monitoring vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with risk and governance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost optimisation, and operational excellence.
  • Previous experience within technology, financial services, or other complex regulated environments is highly regarded.
  • Ability to adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease.
