About the Role
The mission is to be the operating backbone of the marketing team, turning strategy into a system. This role will build the cadence, own the tools and numbers, and act as a force multiplier to the marketing leader, ensuring launches ship on time, decisions are data-driven, and the team focuses on high-impact work. This is a hybrid seat, combining Marketing Operations (martech stack, data, launch calendar, budget, workflows) with Chief of Staff duties (planning, decision support, team alignment).
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day of marketing tooling (email/CRM, e-commerce, attribution, project management) ensuring reliability, integration, and usage.
- Build and maintain dashboards and the weekly/monthly reporting rhythm, translating data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Own the launch calendar and cross-functional readiness across creative, e-commerce, retail, and social teams.
- Track the marketing budget, manage purchase orders, and oversee key vendor/agency relationships.
- Map workflows, identify friction points, and document repeatable systems for team scalability.
- Run quarterly planning and assist in setting, cascading, and tracking team goals (OKRs).
- Prep agendas and pre-reads for leadership meetings, capture decisions, and drive action item follow-through.
- Facilitate connection between marketing and product, e-commerce, retail, and operations teams.
- Take ownership of ambiguous, high-priority special projects.
- Surface insights on what's working, what's stalled, and what requires decisions to leadership, providing recommendations.
Requirements
- 4–6 years in marketing ops, growth/biz ops, or a chief-of-staff role, preferably in consumer, DTC, beauty, or CPG.
- Hands-on experience with modern martech stack: email/CRM (e.g. Klaviyo), e-commerce platform (e.g. Shopify), and analytics/attribution.
- Strong spreadsheet and dashboarding skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, monday, Trello) and understanding of underlying methodologies.
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects or launches from inception to completion.
- Experience with beauty, hair, or CPG industries is a plus.
- Omnichannel exposure across DTC and retail (Target, Ulta, Amazon, TikTok Shop) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SQL, GA4, or BI/attribution tools (Looker, Northbeam) is a plus.
