About the Role
This role owns visual craft end-to-end, from campaign ideation and pitching to market execution across paid social, YouTube, and other channels. It involves hands-on design work, directing shoots, and guiding teams through fast-paced creative sprints. The position collaborates closely with the performance marketing team, feeding creative data back into ideation and driving iterations within weekly creative cycles. As the visual identity custodian for the growth team, this role connects growth, product, web, and global brand teams, ensuring consistency and acting as the primary contact for an upcoming rebrand.
Responsibilities
- Lead the visual craft of projects from concept to execution and live in market, spanning art direction, storyboarding, campaign identity, and social content, with a strong focus on paid social and campaign and YouTube.
- Be hands-on with design tools or direct others, with work ranging from quick-turnaround social shoots to multi-month campaigns with celebrities.
- Respond to early-stage briefs by generating ideas and pitching them to senior stakeholders.
- Champion art and visual direction across pre-production and on set, contributing to casting decisions and collaborating with external contractors.
- Review creative performance data and contribute to weekly ideation sessions with the performance marketing team, bringing insights back into the work and making improvements.
- Guide day-to-day output from paid social editing teams, while executing on simultaneous projects across larger campaigns.
- Manage and coach a small team of senior creatives specializing in post-production.
- Act as custodian of Juniper's visual identity, building cross-functional relationships to align on visual identities and drive consistency across all brand touchpoints.
- Act as the growth team's key point of contact for a rebrand.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in advertising design, graphic design, art direction, or closely related creative roles; ideally with strong in-house experience.
- Background in an Australian design or advertising agency.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong craft across ads, branding, and campaign identity.
- Comfortable being hands-on in the work, using design craft to respond to briefs and turn ideas into high-quality creative outputs.
- Sydney-based and able to work closely with the team in person, including regular involvement in shoots and collaborative creative development.
- Empathetic and culturally aware, with creative choices reflecting empathy, credibility, and respect for the audience's journey.
- Passionate about women's health and building a supportive brand.
