About the Role

As the Facility Manager, you will be the key operational lead for all FM activities on site, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, managing subcontractors, ensuring compliance, and supporting a safe and efficient hospital environment. You will work closely with clinical and operational stakeholders, provide technical and strategic advice, and lead a team of FM and trade professionals to deliver exceptional service outcomes.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day FM operations including planned maintenance, reactive works and soft services coordination
Lead contractor performance, scheduling, supervision and quality assurance
Ensure WHS compliance, inductions, risk assessments and safe work practices
Monitor performance, work orders, compliance tasks and reporting
Prepare monthly performance reports, maintenance summaries and defect logs
Manage site-level budgets, invoices, variations and procurement
Coordinate shutdowns, inspections and business continuity planning
Build strong relationships with hospital leaders and clinical teams
Support a culture of safety, service excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar FM role
Experience in complex environments — hospital or clinical facilities highly regarded
Strong understanding of building services, infrastructure and maintenance delivery
Proven contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage risk, compliance and operational performance
Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving capability
