About the Role
MUFG is seeking a Vice President, Liquidity Solutions – Transaction Banking to join their Melbourne or Sydney office. This role involves shaping the future of liquidity management for financial institutions and sponsored finance segments, building stable liability balances by proactively pitching cash management solutions, and leveraging expertise to deliver tailored advisory services. Responsibilities
- Build stable liability balances by proactively engaging targeted segments of financial institutions.
- Develop strategic marketing plans to acquire new clients and nurture existing relationships through tailored advisory services.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as product management, relationship managers, global markets specialists, e-banking experts, and operations professionals to deliver bespoke liquidity solutions.
- Expand MUFG’s footprint across Oceania by identifying new business avenues including subsidiaries of international corporates.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of cash management clients in Oceania by identifying target segments, creating marketing strategies, and executing calling plans.
- Deepen existing and future client relationships for liquidity products by preparing tailored proposals and presentations.
- Expand the client base by exploring new-to-bank opportunities including subsidiaries of corporates headquartered outside Oceania.
- Take an active lead role in deposit review analysis by providing guidance on pricing strategies.
- Prepare detailed internal reporting on activities and pipeline management.
- Support the regional head office with information and reporting requirements.
- Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of cash management solutions.
- Capture and share process inefficiencies for future streamlining initiatives.
- Drive effective system administration and maintenance in accordance with ISSP standards, regulatory compliance policies, risk management protocols, and approved operational procedures.
- Support Oceania’s deposit management efforts through ad hoc reporting responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
Requirements
- Wealth of experience from the banking industry, particularly within transaction banking or cash management roles.
- Deep familiarity with structuring liquidity solutions for financial institutions or sponsored finance segments.
- Advanced organizational capabilities to juggle multiple priorities efficiently while delivering accurate reports on pipeline activities.
- 5+ years’ demonstrated expertise in transaction banking with a strong foundation in cash management principles gained within the banking sector.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to finance or banking.
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking operations combined with proven ability to understand complex liquidity structures across various business segments.
- Advanced product knowledge allowing you to create compelling proposals tailored specifically to each client’s unique liquidity requirements.
- Experience in deposit review analysis coupled with sound judgment when providing pricing guidance.
- Exceptional organizational skills enabling you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy in reporting and pipeline management activities.
- Adaptability in responding effectively to changing market conditions or evolving client needs within a fast-moving financial landscape.
- Technological proficiency required for effective transaction banking system administration.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal abilities facilitating collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams.
