About the Role

DXC is undertaking a large-scale project to migrate on-premises mainframe environments to an AWS-based open environment for a major enterprise client. We are seeking a leader to manage this transition, either as an overall Project Manager or as a Project Lead for middleware migration, operational migration, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage migration plans for infrastructure and middleware.
• Plan and manage operational design and testing (IT/ST/UAT) post-migration.
• Evaluate and propose migration strategies considering cost, technology, and operations, and present to clients.
• Engage with clients, create documentation, and manage handover to operational teams.
• Drive projects and resolve issues in collaboration with partners and offshore teams.

Requirements

• Project Manager or Project Leader practical experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience for Project Manager role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience for Project Leader role.
• Experience participating in migration projects from mainframe (z/OS or VOS3) to open systems (Red Hat).

• Knowledge of HULFT, MQ, and other operational monitoring/communication middleware
